Each month, WRWA will feature a Volunteer Spotlight to thank the incredible and extraordinary individuals who make our work possible. This month, we are thrilled to recognize Cindy Wilson for her dedication, leadership, and heart for service.

Cindy is one of those volunteers who quietly does so much. In addition to her service as a board member, she consistently goes above and beyond: organizing and preserving WRWA’s historical files, providing hands-on support with volunteer and event coordination, and generously giving her time and energy wherever help is needed. Cindy has also been instrumental in supporting the setup and planning of our Gala and our large summer events, including River Day and the Summer Concert, ensuring these community favorites run smoothly and successfully.

Nature education and volunteerism are hallmarks of Cindy’s commitment to community. Since moving to Westport in 2016, Cindy has actively engaged with local schools, helped organize Westport events, and currently serves as Director of Operations at the Westport Food Pantry.

Within WRWA, Cindy serves on the Education and Development Committees, where her enthusiasm and leadership continue to inspire volunteerism across the organization. She models what it means to lead by example, always willing to step in, lend a hand, and encourage others to do the same.

Thank you, Cindy, for your unwavering dedication, behind-the-scenes efforts, and the countless ways you strengthen our community. WRWA is truly better because of you. 💚
