Description: Dr. Robert J. Gegear is a Professor in the Department of Biology at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He has been studying the neuroecology and conservation of pollination systems native to North America for over 25 years. Dr. Gegear’s research has been supported by multiple federal grants and has been published in books, numerous prestigious scientific journals, and popular press articles. He is also the founder of the Beecology Project, a citizen science effort to rapidly collect ecological data on threatened pollinator species in New England.
